Single Skin Tanks
Semmens Oil Supplies stock a wide range of QSS single skin oil tanks. Single skin oil tanks aredesigned for the storage of heating fuels at domestic properties.
QSS single skin oil tanks are manufactured to OFTEC standards out of UV stabalised polyethene and come with a 5 year manufacturers warranty.
There are certain criteria that have to met for a single skin oil tank to be installed.
if the tank is to be situated within
- 50 metres of a well, borehole or spring
- 10 metres of controlled water e.g. open drain, manhole cover, river, stream or lake
or
- if the tank's vent is not visible from its fill point
- if the capacity exceeds 2500 litres
- if any potential spillage could run over ground into controlled waters
then the tank must be bunded.
